Just another boring post about scholarship again!! Yeah MARA for sure!! Rumor covers all the truth, I shall say that. Okay the rumor said MARA would sponsor for 6000 students this year. 2000 places for PILN (Program Ijazah Luar Negara) and another 4000 places for PIDN (Program Ijazah Dalam Negara). People would expect for that since only 5000+ applicants qualified to sit the IQ Test which was held on 16, 17 and 18 April..  So this the figurative structure the screening process..

SPM 2013 announced 

Around 10000+ application safely received by MARA

MARA rejected all applications with B+ English and C grade for any subject

Around 5000+ applicants qualified to sit the IQ Test

Test was held on 16, 17 and 18 April

MARA reject all applications with error requirement (not fulfill the requirement)

Screening for PILN applications, downgrading and rejecting

Screening and placing PIDN applications and downgraded PILN applications

Data base built and sending student information for admission

Requesting permission and waiting conformation from selected colleges and universities

Can you see how hard and strict MARA was.. Then, move on to hot issue about the result. Remember, these are the hot courses for this year!!

1.   Medical field ( medicine, dentistry, optometry and pharmacy)

2.   Engineering (all engineering field including technology and computational)

MEDICAL FIELD

International Baccalaureate Medicine Ireland (PILN, LN0101)

MARA only offers 60 places for International Baccalaureate Medicine Ireland (PILN, LN0101) this is the hottest and coolest course ever. But too bad, people with very damn high SPM result will get this provided that excellent curricular performance. So even you got 8A+ 1A, MARA wouldn’t GIVE A F*** if your curricular performance s****.. At the end MARA rejected them mercilessly!! See, nowadays people don’t only look at your academic wise!! But academic wise + curricular wise.

Foundation in Science Medicine Twinning Programme India (PILN, LN0702)

This one is the second hottest medic offer that a little bit s*** because only less than 20 people were selected!!! What do you expect? It is easy to get medic India? Who says?? MARA doesn’t seem to tolerate with the applicants even you got straight A’s. MARA still wants the very qualify people to go to India even it just Foundation in Science!! As usual, this shitty course needs academic wise (straight A’s) + curricular wise (the participation in various activities) Alhamdulillah, I got this one.. yeepee.. LOL

There’s more medical field offers, those two are the most wanted and damn hard to get!! Optometry, pharmacy and dentistry a little bit loose because less applicants choose that, but still hard to get oversea offer..

ENGINEERING

The screening is easy, you don’t qualify for that course, MARA would put you somewhere in Malaysia. Maybe engineering is demanding occupation nowadays. I have to say.. You would get high tendency to go oversea with engineering plus they need slightly lower SPM achievement which is 8A to fly to UK provided that English at least –A.. Got it!!!

Ok I feel tired already.. so my last advice is, don’t wish to get a SHIT course if you can’t get a balance achievement in academic wise and curricular wise… Not to underestimate you, but that’s the fact nowadays.. And, please embrace yourself to get into medical field!!!
